Comic Strip Kawa of Care

Today my buddy Malia and I we were both working on the same comic strip refresh. We started off by thinking of some ideas to put in. It was two different topics which were Smart footprint and Kawa of care. Recently in term 2 our class started working on Kawa of Care. Please enjoy our hard work and effort we put into our work.

Dirty work – Show

Yesterday on June the 28th my school Wesley intermediate had a trip to the Q theater in the city.

At approximately 9:45 AM all of the classes met up together in the hall to talk about the expectations we have to follow during the show. When the meeting was finished class by class entered the bus, there was 3 buses all together when we got onto the bus I was so tired and bored so i closed by eyes for 2 seconds, but when i opened it suddenly we were already at our destination.

( At The Theater ) We hopped out of our buses and walked the rest of the way. We sat in the lounge and mixed with the other classes again, I found it pretty loud because of how basically everyone was talking and shadow boxing.  2 other schools arrived and waited in another area of the lounge, that’s when the teachers gave us the signal that we could go into our seats. Wesley Intermediate got to sit in the ‘God Seats’ and the ‘Rangatira Gods’ which were the highest seats on a block U balcony above where I was sitting. My favorite part was when  Neil one of the main characters said “I’m so happy I could kiss you!” to Zara, one of the other main characters, it’s my favorite because heads turned to other people and others looked shocked and suprised. Sorry about the lack of photos. It did not let me upload it.

Red, White & Brass- Recount

Welcome to my Red, White and Brass- Recount: i’m gonna talk about the movie & how it felt to finally have our culture up on the big screen —->

On Wednesday April the 5th, my school ( Wesley int ) and another school ( One tree Hill High- ) Went to watch a new famous Tongan movie that came out recently that was also based on a true story that happened in Wellington. It also was based on a brass band that valued no matter what just try your best and have fun. They performed at the Tonga vs France World cup finals in 2011. While I was watching the movie, it reminded me to be thankful for my family and for where I come from. Thanks to this movie, I am confident to follow my dreams and to listen to my heart. It’s not about what your past is or where you come from but to just remember to achieve your goals & also definitely DON’T listen to your parents 😉

The characters Names were:

  • Maka- best fia bots & funny one
  • Veni- role model
  • Irene- always argues with maka
  • Rob- best drummer
  • Samisoni- Tongan master
  • Uncle Siale- best trumpet guy?>
  • Laki- best singer
  • Terrence- best fia gangster
